Hi all I know the elite has rear passenger compartment lights but the lesser models don’t which with a black roof lining makes night time belt inserts ni impossible. Any one know of a kit to instal or on older models back in the day you could buy the extra lights and instal then because the wiring will be there for all models !

Update incase your intrested, i found 2 led light unit from a E-208, made a 2wire loom, and installed these to the overhead light unit, fully working with door activation, overide and fading in and out

More details please.ashthesparkie wrote: ↑Wed Oct 02, 2024 12:52 pm Update incase your intrested, i found 2 led light unit from a E-208, made a 2wire loom, and installed these to the overhead light unit, fully working with door activation, overide and fading in and out458383580_10234723851102708_658223956974108923_n.jpg![]()
Carl,
I’m quite interested in doing this. Are you able to provide some info on how you did the cut in the headliner and also what wiring needs to be done for this? Also how much did it cost you to do all in?ashthesparkie wrote: ↑Wed Oct 02, 2024 12:52 pm Update incase your intrested, i found 2 led light unit from a E-208, made a 2wire loom, and installed these to the overhead light unit, fully working with door activation, overide and fading in and out458383580_10234723851102708_658223956974108923_n.jpg![]()
Sorry for all the questions!
Very clever! You need til connect two wires to the wires behind the overhead lights and run them to the new lights... I presume.
@ashthesparkie: To which wires did you connect behind the overhead lights?
I see one socket with (green/yellow, purple, red, brown) and one with (green, blue). I can not figure out what the (green, blue) one does.
