Hi all, I’m after a bit of advice.
Purchased a 2021 Corsa e a few weeks ago and discovered the day after purchase that the air con doesn’t work (only blows ambient air).
Cutting a very long story short, Vauxhall have checked it and advised the incorrect oil appears to have been used at some point and has contaminated the system. They have said the entire A/C system needs to be replaced at a cost of £7500!
I have an ongoing dialogue with the dealership I purchased the car from to either return the car or have them cover the cost.
My issue is, is it ok to drive? Apparently the A/C system cools various components in the car?
I’ve been on multiple long journeys on some of the hottest days and all seems completely fine so I’m confused as to how serious this actually is.
Any insight, advice etc would be hugely appreciated
