Hi Guys
Been on here for a while now and finally decided to trade in my 2014 Corsa e SE Automatic for the New Corsa f 1.2 (100ps) Turbo Elite Start/Stop 8 Speed Automatic 2020. Picked up yesterday morning and well pleased with drive. But lockdown not allowing me to drive any distance to get a good charge into the battery as currently Start/Stop is unavailable ( Flashing Green (A) in display ) when breaking behind stopped traffic or at Traffic Lights etc.

A lot of people having issues with stop/start so your not on your own, Vauxhall will fob you off with excuses, 1st they will tell you to drive it more,
then the next time you take it in, they will tell you they need to charge the battery, which they do, and stop/start works for a few days then stops again.

you will end up taking it back quite a few times to get it fixed. we believe they have fitted the wrong type of battery, but they won't admit it.

Thanks paul04
Yes have read quite a bit on these problems with Start / Stop on the Corsa e / f and makes situation even worse when you have the
Electronic Parking Brake ? as I have on the Elite Auto? so will try all the normal advise then see where we go from there.

Sure this going to be along hall problem but will give it my best shot as the car is fantastic to drive otherwise I don't give
in easily.

Going by the posts on site there appears to be problems with the auto door locking and opening also touch door opening and stop start all seem to point to battery condition I have an elite nav premium petrol with all these would it be possible for us to give our battery info to forum so we can see what batteries are fitted at what point of production to see if Vauxhall pas are upgraded to rid the car of these problems. My battery is 60Ah 680cc EF cannot see alternator size at mo July 2020 plate

Thanks Jjj, been looking on various Vauxhall forum sites lately and general consensus is that Start / Stop system is a waist of Technology and
several have switched system off each time they get into the car & some have asked if this can be permanently disconnected ?? When weather
improves will have a look to see which battery I have but suspect its the same as my Previous Corsa - Varta AGM 12v, 60Ah, 680A & mine was not
a ( Start /Stop ).

On my Lockdown shop run this morning the Start / Stop Green (A) was solid and System seemed to be trying to stop the Engine as I was breaking
but not quite achieving this yet. to me it was a bonus to see the solid (A) in the display?

Like you I believe a different Battery may help but as yet have not read of anyone that has done this owing to cost etc.

I too may be turning it off if it becomes a pain to keep it operating as I have never had before.
