We have just bought a 2021 Corsa which was serviced by the dealer prior to us buying it. However the car is still saying it is due a service in 7 months. The dealer is saying that this cannot be reset until it is in the service window. So basically we either have to reset this in 7 months and continue to do so out of sync for how long we own the car or put up with the service light on for 5 months and reset it at next service. So the question is can this be reset now or is the dealer telling the truth?

A quick Google for Corsa F service reset and all will be revealed. Dealer should have reset at time of service.

I did Google it first, but that just appears to reset the service light when it is on, not to reset the system in between times.

I'd fix the service light issue coming on first, as per Mr.Google. There must be a "hooky" way to reset the actual service interval. Think the dealers at it to be honest. Someone with an ODB2 coder should be able to sort you out.
